Zachary W. Kleinhandler
Zac is the Chief Operating Officer of KLM Equities, Inc. and co-heads the investment committee. KLM develops, manages and owns commercial and residential real estate located in New York, California, Washington State and Colorado. KLM has developed over one million square feet of real estate and owns and operates a portfolio of more than 55 properties, including approximately 1000 residential units in New York City. Notable tenants include Apple, Tesla, Adidas, Chinese Theatres LLC, Vince, Open Table, Hard Rock Café, and Citibank. Prior to KLM he was President of Meister Company, LLC, a startup Investment Holding Company and an Analyst at Force Capital Management, a $1.7 billion Long/Short Equity Hedge Fund. Zachary started his career as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Financial Sponsors Group. He received his B.A. from Columbia University. Zachary is a homeowner in Accord, NY, a short distance from Heartwood.
Kristin Soong Rapoport
Kristin has over 10 years of experience in finance and private equity, most recently serving as a Senior Vice President at Fortress Investment Group where she oversaw the development of large-scale infrastructure projects. She previously spent eight years at Morgan Stanley holding various roles in the Commodities, Capital Markets and Investment Banking divisions. Kristin graduated Cum Laude from Columbia University and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, having worked, studied, and volunteered throughout Latin America. Kristin is on the Board of National Sawdust, an artist-led music venue in Brooklyn where she currently resides. She is an avid rock climber, yogi, and wellness enthusiast.
Phillip Rapoport is a product specialist at a $15bn AUM asset management firm in New York City. Previously, Phillip was Head of Markets and a member of the management committee at Ripple, a San Francisco-based technology company backed by Google Ventures and Andreesen Horowitz. Earlier in his career, Phillip worked in institutional sales at Goldman Sachs and Bank of America after studying Economics and Philosophy at Columbia University. He was a homeowner in Gardiner, NY, (where Heartwood is located) from 2010-2016, and as an outdoorsman and climber, he has frequented Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park for more than 15 years. Phillip is on the Board of National Sawdust, a classical music venue in Brooklyn.
Rich is the founder and CIO of energy hedge fund, Rose Commodities. Prior to Rose Commodities, Rich was Head of Oil Trading at Elliott Management, a $35bn asset manager. From 2004 – 2015, he worked at Goldman Sachs in New York and London as a commodities trader. Promoted to Managing Director in 2012, he ran Goldman’s Crude Oil Trading business globally until 2015. Rich received a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University.
